What are the labor law posting requirements for the state of Oklahoma?

The Oklahoma labor law posting requirements are generally the same as the labor law posting requirements for states across the country in that there are certain ways that you will need to displayed the labor law posters and keep them up to date. The major difference between states when it comes to labor law posting requirements has to do with the type of labor laws that you have to post, which varies from state to state. The general labor law posting requirements for the state are as follows:

  • All employers are required to post both the Oklahoma labor laws as well as the federal labor laws. You can post these labor laws either on the same poster, or you can purchase separate posters for each type of labor law. The labor law posters may be found at www.laborlawcenter.com.
  • Labor law posters need to be updated frequently and promptly with every change to the state or the federal labor laws. Note that in 2007, the state and the federal minimum wage requirements changed, so both labor law posters should be updated to reflect the change.
  • Employers are responsible for ensuring that the labor law posters are displayed in a public area where all employees will have access to them. Generally, such an area is a public bulletin board or a break room.
  • Employers should also promptly replace the posters if they are damaged or removed.

The Oklahoma labor laws that all employers must post, as long as they are covered, include the following:

  • Unemployment Insurance
  • Minimum Wage
  • Discrimination Notice
  • Child Labor Law
  • Workers Compensation

And the federal labor laws that you would need to post include the following:

  • New 2007 Federal Minimum Wage
  • USERRA – Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act
  • Equal Employment Opportunity is the Law
  • Employee Polygraph Protection Act
  • Family and Medical Leave Act
  • OSHA – Job Safety and Health Protection
  • IRS Withholding Notice
  • Payday Notice
  • Anti-Discrimination Notice  CB
