I am currently employed by a school I work 6.75 hours during the day (not including my unpaid 30 minute lunch.) I however do not receive a break during the other time, is this something I should be getting?
There is no Iowa or federal law that requires breaks for employees – not even the 30-minute unpaid meal break you are currently receiving. So, no, you are not legally entitled to any additional breaks during the work day.
