Florida - Breaks
Are we required by Florida law to provide employees with two breaks a day? We are a private law firm and yesterday and employee asked.
Please let me know.
thanks
Florida employers are not required to give breaks to workers under state or federal law. In fact, employers are not even required to give workers a meal break, under state and federal law. Your law firm is free to set any policy it likes regarding breaks, as long as it is not enforced in a discriminatory manner.
