Do you accrue vacation time/vacation pay while on short term disability or maternity leave?
This is a matter of company policy, rather than state or federal law. However, at 99% of companies, employees who are on leave do not accrue vacation time. That’s because vacation time is awarded based on the number of hours worked, and employees on leave are not working.
