Under Nevada law, can an employer require its employees to forfeit accrued, unused vacation time at the end of the year, i.e. no carryover of vacation time? Likewise, can an employee be required to forfeit accrued, unused vacation time upon termination?
Nevada law requires only that employees be paid for time worked, and for any commissions owed them. There is no requirement that employers offer paid vacations. If they do, there is no limit on the restrictions that the employer can set on vacations, and there is no requirement that employees be paid for unused vacation upon termination.
