Vacation Time in incurements

When an employee is an exempt employee. Is there any laws that state what incurements of vacation or PTO can be mandated to take?

No. There are few laws covering vacation time or PTO. In fact, there is not even any law that requires an employer to offer paid time off of any sort. Since paid vacation and PTO are strictly voluntary, generally employers can establish almost any policy they like. Some employers require that PTO and vacation be used in 8 hour increments. Others charge an employee for 2 to 4 hours of PTO or vacation time when they go home early. As long as the employees paycheck is the same amount, federal law does not prohibit this.
