comp. time

What is the max of comp time allowed (number of hours) before automatic pay would take place.

Sorry, we are not understanding the question. It is illegal under federal law for a private employer (a business or non-profit) to give employees comp (or compensatory) time off instead of paying overtime.

Federal, state and local governments are not covered by the law, and can give comp time to employees. In a few states, employers with revenue of less than $500,000 per year may be able to give comp time instead of paying overtime, if the employee does not engage in interstate commerce.

Please post a more specific question, and we will try to address it.
