Is it possible for a person to have more than one FMLA condition at the same time. Example, migrains and a work related injury?

Yes of course it is possible for a person to have two FMLA conditions at one time. One of your employees could have a dozen FMLA conditions at one time. An employee with cancer could have a heart attack. An employee with diabetes could develop migraines. An employee who has chronic depression could become pregnant. The list just goes on and on.

However, an employee is entitled to only a total of 12 weeks of unpaid, job-protected FMLA leave in any 12-month period. So the employee with 12 different serious health conditions is entitled to exactly the same amount of FMLA as the employee with only one.
