Salary employee/vacation pay

If a salary employee does not take their vacation days, does the employer have to pay the salaried employee for those days? Leave in Kentucky.

Kentucky state law does not require employers to pay out vacation upon termination, unless they establish such a policy. Employers are also not required to allow employees to “cash in” unused vacation time, although some employers do.

As there is no legal requirement for the employer to pay the employee for unused vacation days, the answer to your question will depend on what your company’s policy says.
