Regarding Vacation time accrued for part time employee

I have an employee that worked part time from Jan. to March and then full time employee and I need to figure out how to calculate how much time she has accrued for this year. We offer 30hours paid vacation for part time and for full time after 1 year 10 days. How can I figure out what we owe as far as vacation time

A simple way to calculate the hours is to calculate the amount of accrual for the part time period, then calculate the hours for the full time period, then add them together. For example;

Part time is 30 hours of vacation per year divided by 52 weeks = .58 vacation accrual per week

Full time is 80 hours of vacation per year divided by 52 weeks = 1.54 vacation accrual per week

12 weeks (From January to March) times .58 =  6.96 hours of accrued vacation

40 weeks (From April to December) times 1.54 = 61.6 hours of accrued vacation

The total time accrued for the year (part time and full time) is 6.96 plus 61.6 or  68.56 vacation hours
