Employee returns from STD and now wants to take Vacation

We have an employee that just returned from short term disability and now wants to take leave without pay for two weeks to attend a family event. Are we correct in not allowing her to do this? We have been working without her for 6 months and need her at the office.

Yes you can deny her the additional two weeks off. It appears that her disability has ended and she has returned to work. Please review any policies that would conflict with your decision, otherwise it is legal.
