Signature required for W2

Is there any type of law or regulation that requires active employees show ID and sign their name in order to receive their W2? (In KY)

Kentucky law states that on or before January 31 of each year, or at the termination of employment, the employer must “give” each employee a wage and tax statement in duplicate using Form K-2 (Copies “No. 2” and “c” or a previously approved commercially printed wage and tax statement.

As long as the forms are mailed by January 31st the employee has met the furnishing requirement. An employee does not need to sign for their W-2 or K-2 forms.
