When to pay the unused vacation hours for a terminated employee

When is it required to pay an employee the unused vacation hours once the employees has been terminated. Is it required that it should be paid along with his final regular paycheck or should the employer to reveal his claims and pay off his final payment on the following payroll(with only the unused vacation hours, if any)

Each state in the U.S. has different regulations on when or if accrued times needs to be paid on termination and when. In addition, it also depends on when your policy or contract with the employee (if any) state any terms on this subject. However, typically accrued time is usually counted as wages, and must be paid with the final paycheck.
