Obligations to a part-time employee on disability

How long am I obligated to hold a position for a part-time employee who is on disability for an injury sustained while the employee was not working for me (Ie. was in a car accident during non-business hours)?

If your part-time employee is eligible for FMLA (working at least 24 hours per week), you must hold their job for 12 weeks. In addition, you should treat your employee the same as any other person on a normal medical leave.
