Sharing Resumes with Non-Employees

Is it ethical to share job applicant resume with individuals outside of the company without the applicants permission.

Though sharing an applicant’s resume may have the best intent, it’s not good practice. When an individual applies for a job with a specified company, he has a justified expectation that his resume will remain within the company.

There is no ethical violation in simply sending an applicant’s resume outside the company. It’s just not advisable without the applicant’s prior consent.
